Cast iron should be cooled before cleaning. It should be washed by hand in warm, soapy water, rinsed in warm water, then dried immediately with a soft cloth. Detergent which is made for hand washing should be used. Not to be put in the dishwasher. Harsh cleaning products which are based on citric acids or those containing chlorine bleach should be avoided
